Description

I wrote this piece in 1992 on request by Margreet Bongers when I was 24, and still studying composition with Tristan Keuris. I took Bach’s cello suites, that bassoonists love to play, as inspiration of course. Later I decided to create a version for saxophone. I performed it quite a few times. In the mean time, bassoonists performed it as well. When I started my collaboration with publisher Schott Music, they wanted to publish the saxophone version, not the bassoon version, which was the original…!

So now this piece finally is available in its original form. I hope bassoonists enjoy it as much as I did, and still do.
